Context

• A lovely evening in Köln with the family

• Strange Italian men running the shop not using their words and getting upset when you didn’t know what they were saying

Crust

• Chewy, fluffy but moderately dense
• Thick, but not thick enough to be called a thick crust pizza
• Outer crust was crispy like when you get a warmes Käse und Schinken Baguette on the ICE or a “fresh” Brötchen from Lidl

Sauce

• Very strong Oregano flavor
• Very little

Mozzarella

• Bland
• A little rubbery, chewier than most
• Salty

Ham

• Extremely meaty
• Thinly sliced but copious quantity

Pineapple

• Super sweet, exactly what we’re looking for
• It did a pretty good job balancing out the ham

Additional Thoughts

• Very meat heavy, if you reduced the ham flavor by 50% it’d be much better. Hawaiian pizza needs to be the perfect balance of pineapple and ham
• Pretty good but less ham
• Perfect balance of saltiness and sweetness is important, with too much ham it overpowered it. There’s no balance no harmony
